Meeting Schedule
Web-Based and Email Marketing
Mr. Ed McCauley of Bottom Line Technologies Inc. was scheduled to present a talk on issues related to marketing methods involving Web presence and bulk email. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mr. McCauley will be unable to present, and at short notice, CNNNJ member Frank Middleton of Apogee Communications Technologies, Inc., has volunteered to stand in for him.

It is increasingly common today for those who have very specific needs to turn to the Web in search for solutions. This is particularly true for technical consumers with esoteric requirements.
The presentation will explore strategies for those offering such solutions to make their presence visible via web pages and email marketing. The interactive session will cover how Mr. Middleton's company is learning to leverage a combination of email marketing and technical web pages to market its services. Topics will include marketing, technical, and legal issues such as:
  • Defining goals and target audience
  • Contact database generation
  • Content, search engine issues
  • Sending Personalized emails
  • Using announce only lists
  • Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE, or spam) legislative issues
  • Results and comparisons with other marketing strategies
