3D Printing Technology and Business Implications
2019-10-10 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm EDT
On Thursday, October 10, 2019, the IEEE Consultants’ Network of Northern NJ (www.technologyontap.org) will host a presentation on the technology and business implications of 3D printing.
About the Topic
3D Printing is on the verge of reaching it’s “inflection point” where the growth in the coming years will grow at increasing rates. But 3D Printing uses many different materials and the list of materials is growing exponentially. As this growth escalates, it will impact in many areas of business from product design to supply chain management and much else. Join us on October 10th for a talk by Jack Heslin from Stratasys Direct Manufacturing for a look at the technologies, materials and impact this industry will have on our lives in the coming years.
About the Speaker
Jack Heslin entered the 3D Printing industry in August of 2013 as the first Enterprise Executive hire at MakerBot. In that role, Jack worked with organizations such as GE, Pratt & Whitney, Yale School of Architecture, UMD School of Engineering and all branches of the US Military.
Since leaving MakerBot Jack was the Head of Business Development for Lazarus3D, a medical 3D Printing startup. Jack is also a regular contributor to DesignNews.com on 3D Printing topics. Currently, Jack is the Regional Account Manager for Stratasys Direct Manufacturing in helping manufacturers in CT & NY choose the right Additive technology and material for their needs.
