About the Topic

We discuss the latest developments of digital weak signal modes in amateur radio. We’ll talk about the history, the development of the various modes, offshoots into amateur radio messaging and the effect on amateur radio message traffic.

About the Speaker

Ria Jairam, N2RJ was first licensed in 1997 in her native country of Trinidad and Tobago and has been continuously engaged in amateur radio since then. Her favorite activities are working distant places (DXing), operating in amateur radio contests, building kits, and writing software. She is an alumna of Polytechnic University (NYU Tandon School of Engineering) where she obtained her BSEE. She talks about various amateur radio topics on her YouTube channel Ria’s shack ham radio. Ria is the director of the ARRL in the Hudson Division.
